MY STORY
My career as an Interior Designer started with designing the layout and functionality of retail spaces. Subsequently, I set up my own store -an interior furnishing store in the heart of South East London.
Following that, in 1982, I formed my first Interior Design business. Ultimately that business evolved into the current company. During those years I acquired a wide range of design skills. In the end, I formalised my Interior Designer credentials by completing the much respected Rhodec International Interior Design Course.
As a result, this diverse background in project management and formal training equipped me with a wide breadth of creative and practical skills. Above all, it has provided me with the expertise needed to collaborate with the building trades and the soft furnishing industry throughout the whole of the Interior Design process.
However, whilst my approach to Interior Design evolves, my belief that there is no ‘one fits all’ process remains a constant.
For me, the process of Interior Design should focus on the needs of my client -you. I want to know about your lifestyle and your aspirations for your home. With that in mind, we can start planning the creation of a space that will best fit into your way of living and your budget.
With that in mind, wherever possible, I will provide ideas that clients have not previously considered. They could include lighting plans that enhance the overall design or the incorporation of new home automation. Or new surface materials not seen before.
In my view, introducing clients to the unexpected is fundamental to modern professional Interior Design.
